I’m Ollie and I’ve been writing about DCFC independently for a couple of years now, mostly for Sky Sports Fanzone, but also on my previous blog, The Power of Clough. There’s nothing sinister in the change of name – I still support Nigel. Joe ‘Burnsie’ Burns is now onboard to help me out with techie stuff I don’t understand.
As a Ram in exile, living in Manchester, I’m not able to get to every game. That said, I go to home games whenever possible, usually with my dad (South Stand) or Tommo (West Stand) and to away games in the north. If I don’t get to attend a game, I use Rams Player to watch the full match before offering any opinions on it. As a rule, however, I try to stay away from writing straight match reports, as these are readily available elsewhere.
First game – I seem to remember attending a game against Wolverhampton Wandererers with my dad at the BBG in about 1985. I remember us losing 2-0, by conceding a goal, then conceding another by giving the ball away from the kick-off. However, I just checked Soccerbase and apparently, we won 4-2!
